Lighting the great outdoors!

Okay, Crystalie is a huge fan of Pinterest and has collected many ideas from the site, and that of course means we have to try some of them. Which for some of the projects means I have to get involved, don't worry it is a good thing.

So she saw this idea on Pinterest, and her sister Montina, did one in her kitchen on her ceiling light. We had the same thought for the newly created landscape project that was completed to provide us a nice flat spot in the yard close to the house to entertain people and enjoy ourselves.

So above is the oak tree with the new addition of the silverware chandelier, the basic light fixture was a $1.00 find at the Lions Charity Auction and Garage sale, and the silver ware was stuff collected from various sources. I had to spray paint the light a primer gray, since it was this shiny gold color...not cute.
A closer look above shows the  the outside rings on the frosted glass shades have hooks of copper with antique rustic silverware, hanging from them 9 per shade...which means 45 total pieces of silverware. It is then suspended in the oak tree by it's swag chain, and also of course plugged into the new outlet at the end of the landscape area, after running an extension cord down the tree trunk from the branch it hangs on.
This of course will sit above what ever table we decide to place under it when we are ready to entertain some guest out their which will be in the next week or so...
What do you think?
