Made it home...

We started our day in Mackinaw City, MI in some foggy drizzly weather, here is a picture of one of the bridge towers, as we headed across it into the UP of Michigan. Then we hopped on highway 2 heading west through the UP, and then we came across this guy out standing in his field!
We had to turn around, and go back to the road he was close to and snap this picture, pretty creative isn't it? It was about 60-70 feet off the road in a hay field.

The rest of our drive across the UP was not that eventful, driving in some rain, more misty weather, and even about 90 miles of snow falling quite heavily but the roads stayed wet, no slush build up which made for faster travel. When we got to Ashland, WI the sun came out finally and we drove in partly cloudy skys the rest of the way home.

Arriving home we had two very happy dogs and a lot less snow around, and a driveway that was almost dry. Good to be home and hopefully you all enjoyed my blog entries of our trip to see Raquel, Eric and Miles...it was alot of miles but worth everyone of them!
